What To Look For In An Electric Guitar. - Business

Buying your first guitar is kind of like asking the girl you like on a date for the first time. You can hardly contain yourself as the anticipation builds while you work up the courage to get the words out..."want to go on a date sometime?". It's just like when you see the guitar you want for the first time. There is just something about it that just makes you have to own it! For many guys and girls getting their first guitar is a right of passage. It is the only way to join the fraternity of guitar playing brother's and sister's that have come along jamming alone in their rooms along with their favorite bands..

Okay got a little off track there! For me I always wanted Gibson Les Paul. Ever since seeing Slash play I knew I wanted one. For others it might be a Fender Strat or Tele or some other guitar that the speed metal gunslinger's play, it really doesn't matter. As I started looking for a Les Paul I realized there was no way I could afford a real Les Paul so I started looking for the next best thing - a Les Paul Copy. I did eventually find one that was way cheaper and I mean cheap! I am really happy with it

So the question is if you are going to buy a cheaper, okay let's just call it what it is, a cheap electric guitar, than what should you look for when you buy? Really you just want to make sure that you are getting a reasonably priced guitar that still is a good quality product that will allow you to enjoy playing. The worst thing that could happen is that you get turned off of playing the guitar because you bought a garbage guitar that is difficult to play! Specifically there are a few things that you want to make sure the cheap electric guitar you are looking at buying has.

First, make sure the guitar is constructed of solid wood. You don't want pressed together wood or anything like that. You want a gutiar that is a two piece solid body guitar. This means the body is made of two solid pieces of wood..

Second, make sure that the neck of the guitar you are thinking of purchasing is a set neck or set thru neck.

Third, look for a guitar that uses some good quality tuners. This will make sure your guitar stays in tune and can be tuned easily.

Playing in tune is so important! I mean you want the guitar to look good and to have a nice fit and finish but it's got to sound good too.
