Although hard cases are much more expensive, they do come with almost guaranteed protection for your guitar, no matter how expensive it is. This case will surely do the job of protecting your guitar, and it also comes with a compartment inside that you can store accessories, such as cords, picks and strings. The disadvantages of this case are its weight, coming in around 14 pounds, and its lack of shoulder straps (which you hardly ever see on hardshell cases anyways). Overall this is a solid case that will do the job of protecting and transporting your instrument in a stylish manner.
There are obviously hundreds of different models for both soft acoustic guitar bags and hardshell cases, but if you are new to buying cases either of these two models in this article will be a great starting point. You can't go wrong with whichever one you choose. I like Fender products because they are dependable and tend to last longer than other brands (such as a Yamaha soft bag I used to have that tore up after a few months).
