What Makes Les Paul Guitars Extraordinary - Entertainment - Music

Les Paul Guitars have remained popular over the years not just because of their beautifully figured tonewoods, but most notably for their excellent innovations that produced a great number of models and variations.

Gibson, the maker of Les Paul guitars, has never stopped innovating making every model a sought-after. These guitars were named after the late American jazz and country guitarist, songwriter and inventor - Lester William Polsfuss often called Les Paul. He pioneered the development of the solid-body electric guitar which introduced rock music straight into the music scene.

The Les Paul can be described as a solid body electric guitar that was first out in the market in 1952. These kinds of guitars are often the most favored electric guitars across the world. Other well-known electric guitars were Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster.

This type of Gibson guitar line originally had two models. The Regular Model also called the Goldtop and the Custom Model that features innovative hardware and formal black finish. As a consequence of advancements in body, pickup and hardware styles, the Les Paul models became a long term series of electric solid body guitars that offer specific models made particularly for every level of guitarist.

The Gibson Melody Maker line was initially introduced in 1959 and was developed for beginner guitarists. The initial model included a thin slab-style mahogany body and single piece mahogany neck. The electronics are assembled together within a scratchplate set up in the body's front. Originating from a body style, options, to colors, several innovations were actually built to the next melody maker models. This model was discontinued in 1971 and were replaced by several other models in the succeeding years. In 2003- 2006, the Melody Maker was revived as a good sub-model of the Les Paul model.

In addition to body design and shaping, there are several distinguishing characteristics that render Les Paul guitars different from other electric guitars, like the strings that are consistently mounted along the top of the guitar body, other than in the body.

Gibson guitar lines are also notable for their various colors that include Ebony, Classic White, Alpine White, Wine Red and Fire Burst.

Gibson instruments are also offered in different finishes and decorative levels, diverse hardware features and updated styles of electric pick-up options. Most of these features have made exciting impact that revolutionized the sound of electric guitars. These distinctive and innovative characteristics make Les Paul guitars far more extraordinary.
